A Global Provider of Forensic Healthcare Services is seeking a Clinical Director in the State of Georgia.

 

Responsible for the implementation and documentation of all clinical treatment services at the SVP Secure Treatment Facility. Continually reviews and evaluates comprehensive treatment program for the rehabilitation of sexually violent predators. Makes recommendations to the Executive Director for modifications and program improvements. The Clinical Director is responsible for assessment, comprehensive care planning, linking, treatment delivery, supervision, monitoring, and advocacy for all treatment staff and for all residents/detainees served. Provides administrative and clinical supervision to Team Leaders from each housing unit and treatment function in the facility.  Ensures that programs are delivered in a manner that satisfies contractual, legal and ethical requirements, and develops timely and accurate reports on the status of treatment program operations. Periodically participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning conferences and directly observes treatment delivery.  Ensures that clinical Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement (QA/QI) systems are fully implemented throughout all clinical activities.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

·        Serves as chairperson for the professional staff organization.

·        Screens and selects candidates for treatment supervisory staff positions including treatment team leaders and department heads, and supervises and evaluates ongoing performance.

·        Ensures that required Annual SVP Evaluations and Notification of Residents’ Right to Petition for Release are fulfilled and reported to the Department and to the Court in a timely manner for each resident/detainee served.

·        Researches and designs strategic, programmatic methodologies for the delivery of optimally appropriate services to residents/detainees.

·        Conceives and develops procedures to ensure accurate and proper documentation of program activities. Monitors and documents observations of the operation of all aspects of SVP Treatment Facility treatment programs.

·        Takes responsibility for maintaining appropriate productivity and quality of treatment service throughout the facility.

·        Works continually to deal with any internal or external problems that arise pertaining to the facility/community interface.

·        In conjunction with appropriate administrators, develops and approves recommendations for annual operational budgets and distributes resources appropriately to attain treatment program goals. Determines optimal staffing plans that are compatible with program budgets and goals.

·        Initiates and maintains compliance with all facility policies and reviews all other policies and procedures to assure their compliance with Georgia, ASHI and JCAHO requirements.

·        Facilitates the SVP Facility’s affiliation with Georgia Universities for the purposes of program evaluation research.

·        Prepares integrated summary data on treatment outcomes to be submitted to the Georgia Department of Children and Families and the Correctional Privatization Commission.

·        Consults with other administrators and operational personnel, advising them in the effective and efficient realization of program goals and objectives.

·        Maintains a current perspective, through ongoing research, on developments in the corrections, mental health, substance abuse and sex offender treatment and education fields in order to provide continuous improvement in the quality of services delivered.

·        Performs other duties as assigned.
